MINI Countryman

Teaser video of the new MINI Countryman, slated to come out in early 2011. The Countryman should be the official name of the Crossover which appeared early this year.

MINI Crossover.

The MINI Crossover brings together MINI and SUV. It will be the first MINI to be longer than four meters in length and the first with four wheel drive. It will have four doors and will seat four passengers. These features alone place the new car right in the line of vision of new target groups seeking to combine the individual style of the brand with enhanced versatility within the interior and innovative functionality throughout. The MINI Crossover Concept thus symbolizes the breakthrough into a new category of vehicles, broadening the appeal of the brand to an even larger target group.

Future BMW X1

MINI Coupé and MINI Roadster concept cars.

At the 2009 Frankfurt motor show, two new MINI concepts were unveiled, the MINI Coupé and MINI Roadster. The idea behind them is to represent a concentrated driving pleasure in an extremely sporty Coupé and in a pure and elegant Roadster.

Opposed to the current MINI cooper line up, these will only seat two passengers in order to focus on a light weight and compact construction, more so than the existing Coopers. As for performance they will be equipped with the most powerful engine currently available in a MINI, the 1.6 litre John Cooper Works turbocharged engine developing 211 hp and peak torque of 192 lb-ft.
